  • Who should attend? Educators from around the country! The contact person for a team of six or more should get in touch with WSRA before registering any of the team members. The 6th OR the 12th team member can attend the complete series for free with a discount code from Joyce at [email protected].
  • What?The WSRA member rate is $350 for the complete series or $50 per month. Registration is by credit card only. WSRA accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards. The Young Voices Virtual Field Trip fee is $150 per grade band (K-3, 3-6) per field trip. 

  • How will I gain access to the Young Voices Virtual Field Trip? Log onto your WSRA profile. Then go towww.wsra.org/literacy-learning-academy

  • How will the students participate and view the field trip? Open your school’s platform (e.g. Zoom, Google Meets). Logon to your WSRA profile using the email address used to register for the field trip. Go to the registered field trip in the Academy. Logon to the Zoom link provided by WSRA. Share your screen with the other school staff members in the K-3 or 3-6 grade band for this registered field trip. Each of the connected staff members then share his/her screen with students for this field trip.

  • What can I do if I can’t make it to the live webinar? The webinars will be recorded and accessible for 10 days after the event.

  • What if my school district does not permit the use of Zoom? Request permission from your IT department or access the recorded webinars 

  • When? Register by October 12 to be included in the first Academy Day.  Register at least two days prior to the date of the Academy Day or of the Young Voices Virtual Field Trip.
  • Transfer? A registration can be transferred to another within your school. However, because there are is a personalized registration and subsequent access to the Academy, the transfer must go through WSRA. Contact Joyce via email [email protected] 

  • Where? This webpage has the registration links for the complete series and all of the individual monthly registration links, too. https://wsra.memberclicks.net/conference-registration

  • How? If you are registering for another person, you will need that person’s name, address, phone, and email address. If that person has a WSRA profile, ask them for their login information. If you’re registering for more than one person, log out from the first profile and then login as the next person. Each person has his/her own profile. 

  • Why? The Raising Our Voices: Empowering All Learners Today to Change the World Tomorrow Academy is set up to provide educators with professional learning opportunities across the school year. Registrants can be involved in live webinars as well as access a great many recordings for the 10 days that follow. There are 20+ pre-recorded sessions that will be archived and available to WSRA members for one year.  This series of Academy Days is the perfect fit for your professional learning plan.
  • Q: What has WSRA put together with regard to Covid-19 and my well-being? A: WSRA has your health and safety in mind; the 2021 conference will be held online. 
  • Q: How do I register for WSRA 2021?  A: The registration is online at www.wsra.org/2021-wsra for the complete series. 
  • Q: How can you save money on registration? A: Membership has its privileges—including significant savings on events. Not an WSRA member? Join now!  Membership is $39.
  • Q: Are purchase orders accepted for WSRA 2021. A: No purchase orders will be accepted as registration for WSRA 2021 is by credit card only. An invoice will be emailed to show your individual registration and subsequent payment.
  • Q: Where will I find a confirmation email for my completed registration? A: The confirmation will be emailed to you immediately upon the completion of the registration. Please look for it in your inbox for the email address used to register. It can also be found in My Profile in the Messages box. 
  • Q: Is it possible to register our full group rather than registering individually? A: Registration for WSRA 2021 will be by individual registration only. WSRA is not able to offer group registrations. 
  • Q: Where is the conference held?  A: The WSRA 2021 conference will be held online. 
  • Q: Are there any meals included with the paid registration? A: No, WSRA 2021 will be held online. 
  • Q: Are there any scholarship opportunities? A:  The Pat Bricker Memorial Research Scholarship information can be found HERE. In addition, there is a possibility of five full-time undergraduate and five graduate scholarships. Please talk with your local reading council and/or your professor of reading. 
  • Q: What is the Awards and Honors Celebration? A: The WSRA 2021 Awards and Honors Celebration will take place online on February 10. If you'd like to submit a nomination for an award, please go to www.wsra.org/submit 
  • Q: Why should I download the free Conference Mobile App?  A: There will be no conference mobile app for WSRA 2021. 
  • Q: Will I receive a Certificate of Attendance? A personalized certificate of attendance will be emailed after the attendee completes the evaluation. Completion of the evaluation after the webinar generates the personalized certificate.
